Best practices at the Port of Nice

Good habits to adopt for your safety and security

For all security-related issues, please come to see us at the Port Office on the first floor, opposite Quai Riboty. The office is open every day from 7 am to 9 pm during the summer season, and an emergency contact number has been set up so someone is on hand to help you 24 hours a day. Regardless of whether you are on your boat or absent, always remember to pull up your gangplank every evening to make sure you won’t be disturbed, and for security reasons. If you have a problem, also remember to call the Control Centre on Quai de la Douane.

Maintenance work subject to an authorisation request

Planning to carry out maintenance work on your boat?

Some types of work are subject to a prior authorisation request, that you need to send us by email. Maintenance work covered by this authorisation includes diving under the hull, maintenance work on the hull, cleaning and painting. Provision of a crane and refuelling are also subject to an authorisation request.

Send us details of your request and we will answer you as quickly as we can.

Wondering how to collect your Car Park Pass?

All yachts that berth in the Port of Nice are eligible for a free car park pass. You can also request an additional pass corresponding to a monthly subscription for €100 incl. tax per month.

To obtain your pass, fill in the form and send it back to us by email or bring it along to the Port Office. Remember to hand back the car park cards to us before you leave.

What about waste sorting at the Port of Nice?

To dispose of your hazardous or toxic waste (paint, solvents, acids, filters, batteries, oils), “waste disposal points” can be found in the boatyard area and on Quai Entrecasteaux.

For your household waste, plastic, cardboard, glass and other waste, appropriate bins can be found throughout the port.

Make sure you do not leave anything on the ground:
If the bins are full or if you have large amounts of waste to dispose of (or waste that doesn’t fit any of the sorting categories), call us. We will either come to collect your waste directly with a lorry, or explain the process you need to follow.

We remind you that discharging waste water into the port is strictly prohibited: please contact us for a list of companies that are authorised to pump your holding tank.

Skips are provided for your bulky waste items.

We provide several skips for disposal of your bulky waste items. If you require a skip, please contact us by phone or email, at least 24 hours in advance.
