Ferry boarding times

What time should you arrive at the Port of Nice?

For a smoother boarding process, we advise you to come to the port with your vehicle 3 hours before your ship’s scheduled departure time. Are you travelling as a foot passenger? Check in at the port at least 30 minutes before departure.

If you arrive after the time shown on your ticket, the boarding guarantees are no longer valid and Corsica Ferries reserves the right to refuse you entry to the ship. It is therefore important that you plan your arrival at the port and check in for boarding ahead of time at the port entrance on Quai des Deux Emmanuel.

Getting to the port boarding area

Before you arrive at the port, prepare your travel documents and proof of identity. When you enter the port, our staff will welcome you and perform a safety check so that you can proceed to the boarding area. Follow their instructions and show them your travel documents and proof of identity. Once you are inside the boarding area, your ticket will be checked by a member of staff from the ferry operator directly from your vehicle.

For foot passengers and people with reduced mobility, a free shuttle is available. Let the driver know that you are here, and the shuttle will take you to the safety check point.

Parking your car in the pre-boarding area

On-site staff will show you how to park your vehicle in the pre-boarding area.

Once you have checked in with the ferry operator, you can switch off your engine and enjoy some free time. Simply return to your vehicle at the time indicated by the ferry operator.

During your break, why not visit the Port of Nice neighbourhood, take time to relax in one of the restaurants or bars, enjoy a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais or the Old Town, or visit the castle hill? Remember to take your proof of identity and travel documents with you. If you are travelling with a pet, never leave it alone in the vehicle. It must be kept on a lead.

Special boarding for people with reduced mobility

If you require assistance for boarding, please inform the maritime company 48 hours before your departure time.

If you need to take a shuttle to the terminals, request the service when you arrive at the port. There is a waiting area for people with reduced mobility in each of the port terminals, and the port shuttle will come to pick you up for boarding.

COVID-19 – You must have a health pass to travel to Corsica

All passengers aged 12 and above – except for lorry drivers – travelling to Corsica from Nice must be able to provide, at boarding, a certificate proving that they are fully vaccinated (vaccination date more than 28 days ago for the Janssen vaccine and more than 7 days ago for the other vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca).

People who are not vaccinated must be able to provide proof of a negative PCR test (taken less than 72 hours ago) or a negative antigen test (taken less than 48 hours ago), or, if they have already had a COVID infection, a certificate of immunity (positive result of an RT-PCR or antigen test taken at least 11 days ago and not more than six months old, prior to the journey).

All passengers are also required to provide a sworn statement confirming that they do not have any symptoms, are fully vaccinated, have taken a Covid test or have recently recovered from a COVID-19 infection. Unfortunately, if you are unable to provide these documents, you will be refused boarding.
